The Nikon D7500 is the camera for me. It really is a D500 in a smaller body with the same image sensor (20.9 MP) for low light photography and fast (8 fps) sports performance with a wonderful Tilting LCD Touchscreen. It's 4K video is perfect for soccer moms and enthusiasts alike. The D7200 was a small upgrade from the D7100. This D7500 is the perfect upgrade for the D90, D7000, D7100, and even the D7200 ;-)

At first i was disappointed that i should have waited for a few more months to get this d7500 however after listening to the specs and looking at the body, I did not regret buying my d7200 6 months ago .

All these people commenting, with no one actually shooting with it? I'll wait for some hands on results before deciding to upgrade my D90. I've managed just fine without two card slots, no battery grip or focus tab. No focus tab really, do you need it, and who has these ancient obsolete lenses anyway?

I'm also looking for a sucessor for my old D90. Do you know if the D7500 has any conector inside the battery slot for a grip? My D90 (not like de D7x00 series) has the conector there.
The D500 is too big and expensive.

I am deciding whether to get Nikon D7500 kit or Canon 80D kit. I have a new 4K TV, but I rarely shoot any video, mostly RAW files. The price difference is huge. What I am concerned with is that if I ever shoot a video, it won't be in 4K and I will regret shooting in 1080P. I can also get Nikon D7500 body and 16-80mm lenses, or Canon 80D body with 24-70 L lenses, but its a lot of money too. So it is Nikon D7500 kit or Canon 80D kit?

Disagree on the D7500! D7200 is the better apart from frames per seconds and tilty screen and high ISO performance. D7200 has better metal body construction, longer battery life, higher resolution screen (D7500 has same as D7000 which is ancient!), dual SD-card slots (huge deal!), AI-metering missing on D7500, better viewfinder dioptics, possibility to add battery grip (D7500 can't have a grip! it's a joke!), D72000 has higher resolution sensor with better low ISO performance/dynamic range ... list goes on and it's cheaper!

Pre-order for June just like what I did with the Nikon DL when it was first announced. Even ordered the battery. Very disappointing. I smell another discontinued model here. The end is near for Nikon.

Thank you for your review. It looks like Nikon is trying to convince us less is better. Less MP, card slots, metal etc. plus a crappy crop factor in 4K. No thanks Nikon I'll wait and see what Canon can do.

Nope the D5700 is nor a D7200 Sucsessor! it has abodydesing mohre like a D5600. It has no AI-S Support! Its a Crap camera.

Its a piece of s#!t no nikon grip all plastic .one card slot . Theyve give it a lower mp rate to make it faster ??? Basically its a polished turd . AND still no pro speck lenses save your money guys and go FX ... DX Cameras are going backwards your getting less and paying more
