Garden Roses (Knock Outs, Oso Easy, Drift, Carefree) are one of the few plants you can prune when they aren't showing signs of new growth without harming them. Watch this video with Noelle, Horticulturist and Education Director with Petitti Garden Centers, to learn more about how to prune these roses. Pick a nice, mild day in early spring and prune them back hard, about 6-12" off of the ground. Also, be sure to remove any old, browning, brittle branches as well as tiny, weak branches to promote growth in healthy canes. Remember to feed with Rose Tone after pruning!
