I was annoyed that Charles simplified his coronation. This is over a thousand years of tradition and history. How many people can say they saw a coronation in their lifetime? It should have been huge the way its always been. I knew they were going to scale it down but that was rediculous.

Similar viewing figures for both but of course the Queens, was 1953 and the population was much smaller in Britain and world wide. There will be a much bigger turn out when William gets in. Let's hope he don't have to wait to long as a young Monarch would be better.

She was a very young queen. The country had been through war and her uncle giving up the throne. The stress of the crown basically killed her father. They all rose up to support her. Charles did very nice for his time. He is a good king. Very much like his grandfather.

I like the queens coronation better for a simple reason and that being that her coronation was the first of its time to be recorded and shown around the world even now over 70 years later

Her is more impressive. She was this young tiny woman facing ruling an entire country on her own without having prepared for it. He is an experienced old man, leaning on the support of the woman he knew since youth, in a much easier time to rule.

Fun fact: the reason they had trouble putting the crown on charles' head was because it had been on the Queen's for so long, they weren't sure how to put it on in a way where it won't tumble.

As I observed, Queen Elizabeth is very young at the time, thats why she has a long reighn...king Charles is too old...he has a short time to reign...
