It is very fitting that the Queen passed away quietly and without fuss. A woman who served until the very end. There will be no more British queens in my lifetime, which is a shame. I had this thought when Elizabeth Truss met her in Balmoral, that she was probably the last Prime Minister to do so. Elizabeth met Elizabeth. Rest in Peace.

Thus passes an era. Hard to believe we have reached this stage. I had hope she would reach 100. To think so many Brits grew up, retired, and died under her reign. The only historical comparison would be Ramses II in Ancient Egypt who reigned for 66 years.

Though I do not live in the United Kingdom at all I respect Her Majesty truly. I honestly shed a tear when I heard about this... If she was the United Kingdom Queen, then she is also my Queen.
