She’s still in high school and she’s been lost in all of those religions? The deception is strong in the Mormon church. It breaks my heart. I left that cult after 10 years and have so many Mormon friends who need the real Jesus. 💔.

I grew up in Mormonism and I can tell you that it’s extremely difficult to leave due to the brainwashing. Your whole upbringing is hearing that the church is true and that Joseph Smith is a true prophet and to never question it. I don’t believe that they teach search all things and find what’s true. It was ALWAYS you just have to have faith no matter what the question was. I understand their resounding faith even when it’s false. Pray for them. Don’t condemn them.

I had a friend who was once Christian and got turned away due to a clicky judgement based church she went to when she moved a big driving forces for where people land is community. It is important we foster and inclusive loving and supportive community to bring people to God. Remember that as Christian’s our actions are representation of our beliefs and our God so it is important that we follow the footsteps of Jesus if we want to change peoples hearts and help build their faith

If you watch the whole encounter, leading up to this moment, the girl shares about how much the sense of community means to her and Jeff answers back with how that can't save her which is true.
That being said, I found it best to avoid discussing the Mormon sense of community when debating them. It usually puts them on the offensive and they tend to shut down to anything else you have to say like you see here.
Best to ignore alleged that a sense of community is good which can lead an open ended conversation about knowing the real Christ.

Christ never debated. He came and He performed miracles, taught the gospel, and paid the ultimate price by taking upon Himself our sins, sicknesses, infirmities, and imperfections.

Best of all He died and raised up that Easter morning. Making it possible for all Humankind to be resurrected and live with Him and our (and His) Father in Heaven again if we (Humankind) repent and follow Him.

A restless mind is the devil’s playground. Still in high school and has been through that many religions? Time, pain or discipline is what makes someone turn to God. Faith keeps you there.

All those examples of her being deceived and lost and yet she still can't see that she has yet to find her way out of the maze

I grew up in the Mormon church. It really sucks knowing how my loved ones are still deceived and stuck in a path that will destroy them.
