I weirdly love stories like this. Don't get me wrong I feel HORRIBLE for the woman and children. But it's definitely fascinating. We can only hope cults like this will stop being a thing.

*JUST FINISHED WATCHING THIS DOCU* ;
To anyone that's curious - I highly recommend!!! I wish it was longer. It was fascinating. What an honor to witness the brave souls of these women that fought for their freedom. Bless their hearts. As someone that's known of the FLDS for years and years now, this docu was amazing and very informative (I got to learn new things I had no idea of prior). I can only imagine just how enriching this would be to watch if you're someone that had no idea of the FLDS. The ending of the docu was very emotional imo. I hope all the Ladies are well and have found their happiness.

As a cult survivor, I read and watch as much about cults as I can, so I'm going to watch this! I read "The Witness Wore Red" which is a true story about a woman (Rebecca Musser) who escapes from the FLDS and Warren Jeffs. She eventually helps bring him down which is so satisfying. I highly recommend this if you want to know more.

That eerie song in children's voices about going to Zion with Father there... Oh man! That really gave me chills. I've read/seen quite a bit about that group and chronology of events but still learned new things in the docuseries. There's so many components - psychological, financial, religious, legal... really troubling.

These Netflix documentaries are hard to stomach but it's eye opening and very well made. Recently I just discovered the Dozier case. I hope Netflix brings coverage on this as well because the victims' story deserve to be heard, and hopefully bring some justice into their lives.

I didn’t realize I was raised in a cult as well until I watched this series. That’s so scary. A lot of the teachings were similar. Like the end of the world, the mystical power, and yes loyalty. They feed your fear. Thankfully we moved and went to a different church. Listened to k-love a lot and started to do my own research with the Bible. I think I learned more in the last 10 years than my parents whole journey. I still love the Bible and it’s teaching and learning everyday, but sometimes church people will blind you to the truth, so I am taking a step back at the moment.

I found out about this group through the tv show Escaping Polygamy and just wow! I couldn’t believe that something like that existed and now they’re making a documentary about one of the biggest groups out there I will definitely be watching

Sometimes I wish Netflix had a chat. I find myself wanting to say so many comments about this series. Man this guy was more evil than I even thought just hearing about him before. Sick monster. What a fake prophet. I too was stuck in a cult from ages 11 to 28. I can attest to the fact that it is so difficult to leave these cults. Because you get brainwashed with threats. But the main threat is you'll never see your family ever again. That one took me a decade to get past it in order to finally gain strength to leave. Literally it breaks you in half leaving them behind. Luckily my mom and rest of my sisters followed my lead but I lost my two older brothers bc they were married in the cult and grew to be loyal to their wives. I never talked with them since age 28 and I'm 56 now. Plus you are wracked with complex PTSD which you have to discover it is even a thing. Took more than a decade to admit my cult experience was worse than I imagined.

What an incredible story. Thank you to the women who got out, made noise, and got heard. 🙌🏽 you are an inspiration and my heart goes out to all of you.💕

It is sad sick but so eye opening to see how one person and a way of life can affect so many lives in a negative way.

I just recently read his daughter Rachel Jeffs’ book and it was astonishing to hear this story from her point of view and the trauma of her childhood and young adulthood. This will be so interesting to see the footage after reading all about it.

Having never been exposed to such a life, its so easy to wonder how in the world would anyone believe this is right, especially the women? I applaud the women (and men), who are brave enough to see the light, leave and call out for help!

I thank my lucky stars everyday that I am not an oppressed woman, living in a cult, or existing in a foreign country where misogynistic beliefs are deeply ingrained.

The trauma and the twisted realities the kids must have had to go through is unbelievable.

People are sick . I’m glad ppl are bringing these situations in the church to light. Mind blowing what people do in the church and behind closed doors

Just finished watching the series yesterday & I can’t begin to tell you how mortified I am from what this man did to these young women & men. The saddest part is that these innocent lives were taught that the horrible acts happening to them was indeed okay because of a controlling evil man said it’s was God’s will.

God NEVER wants this. Yet bad people like him use his name wrongly to get what they want 💯

I pray all of those poor children who suffered from this madness find peace, happiness, most of all safety in their lives 🙏🏼♥️♥️

I grew up non-religious in an extremely small, predominately LDS town. Also went to school with several FLDS kids. That shit is wild, the way they think and behave is insane, and growing up around these people as a non-religious person was an experience.
