Lila Tueller has guts to lay her life story out there like that for the whole world to see. I just watcher all four episodes transfixed by her courage and beauty. Raised in the faith in SLC attending Skyline High School and the UofU, I am stunned that the daughter of a General Authority has healed herself sufficiently to calmly tell us her heartbreaking story. God bless you Lila.

"No matter how good the church is now, the well is poisoned. I do not want to drink from it". Spot on.

Once again. Good work 👏

I binged all 4 parts. So many feels. In case y'all reading comments to 3 yr old videos: This has been very cathartic for me. I honestly have had a lot of resentment in my soul for Hartman Rector Jr... because even on my mission in the mid 70's, I hated the blacks being blocked. I used Elder Rector Junior's teachings to teach others the "less valiant" myth, on my mission and subsequently as a Gospel Doctrine teacher.

This story has helped me see a different side to him, and to the GA's and their families. I've finally come to peace with Elder HRJ. Thank you, Lila. Your story and mine have some similarities. I appreciate your vulnerability so much.

This needs to be broadcasted everywhere, shown to everyone. It's amazing, and raw and genuine. I've never heard an experience in the church spoken so openly and bluntly. People NEED to hear Lila's story

I feel like she’s telling my story. I was so unhappy in my marriage- severely depressed, suicidal ideation… after 17 years I decided I’d rather go to hell then stay in the marriage- I finally filed for divorce. My stake president told everyone I was “ just a bored housewife” and I was lucky to have the husband I had and that if I divorced I’d suffer heart ache and sorrow the rest of my life. I went through with divorce- was dis fellowshiped for a decade- Just like this sweet lady, my then x was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer. I took care of him till he took his last breath.

What a respectable woman, mother, sister, wife and daughter. I’m so glad yall are posting shorts from past interviews I would’ve never found this blessing of a women. I’ve watched all 4 episodes. She is so full of kindness, wisdom, knowledge, and her openness to share is inspirational. I feel like she represents a good portion of ppl in the church (to a never Mormon). I’m glad she shared I bet it’s helped countless of ppl. Much love Mormon stories and Lila! ❤

Anyone who lives for the church pays a huge price in time and emotional trial. There are so many in the church who are depressed and anxious because they feel like all they can do is still not enough and or done well enough. The church seems to give the impression that they have the market cornered on goodness and service. Not so. Never was so. There is a lot of happiness and joy to experience and share without feeling guilty for not doing enough. Without being judged by anyone but the the Lord.

I was a receptionist at BYU Idaho for a few years. John Rector was more reserved and kept to himself but he was one of the highly requested counselors. Many of the more complex cases for clients wanted to see him. Seems like he must have been enlightened for a long time

Thank you Lila for doing these interviews. I was so connected with Emma, I felt there was a big problem, and when I listened to the Year of Polygamy podcasts with Lindsay, I just ran right out of the church aged 70. That was in 2015. Thank God I'm out, I pity my grandchildren but I have to just believe they'll be OK. Then it was Rough Stone Rolling, the Gospel Topics Essays. I needed therapy. I am so grateful for the pioneers like John and Lindsay and Jeremy. Thank you so much. 💜 💜
