I've been running for 10 years, and in the last 2 years, I've learned A LOT from your channel, but something I really don't see from you all is how to breathe. About 6 years into my running career, I stumbled upon a random video that taught a specific breathing technique that changed my running game forever. If some backyard athlete on YouTube was able to instantly improve my running performance, imagine the benefits that other beginners could reap if you all at GTN made a breathing techniques video.

I’ve been doing intervals, hill runs (either repeats or just picking out a particularly hilly run) and a long run each week. The fourth run is just an easy 10k or so to run the legs out after a long run.
Am getting noticeably faster (and with less effort than what I used to put into each run!)

Hill runs are not just about hard short efforts. It's good to run up slow and long. My Sunday morning short loop trail run starts with a constant 45 minutes hill climb that gets me nicely warmed up !

I focus mostly on steep hill climb running which took me years of training. Really appreciate the video for Hill training tips. Great visuals! Thanks

Great tips, something to think about in terms of varying my training. I live in Bristol so hill runs are unavoidable 😩

Thanks, I do find some of your videos a bit confusing but this one sounds great. I've got back into running after shifting a lot of weight so I really want to try something to keep it interesting.

Loving these workout suggestions! I've been following GTN advice and have been getting much faster, however I do struggle with lower back pain from running. I wonder if this is something to do with the tilt of the pelvis when running? But even from the running form videos I am unsure about this part of the posture. Or maybe there is some stretching, conditioning I should do for that? Any advice would be much appreciated! Keep up the great videos!

Great video, thanks for the ideas. Currently, I can only run on a Sat and Sun, so which two runs of those above would you recommend over those two days to perhaps get the best results? (I do some strength and conditioning work during the week). Thanks

quick question: i am 14, my pb 5k is 21:56 👎. by the end of october (4 months) i’m trying to go sub 19. i’m just starting my training. do you think this is possible? (i’ve been running 4 miles 4 times a week before my training)
