Pain in shoulder with arm numbness and tingling along the arms, the most commonest causes would be radiculopathy, mostly a disc related issue. Any of the irritation of the nerves which comes from the cervical spine to the arm. there are 8 nerves that goes for the cervical spine to the arm. Any irritation of these roots, commonly caused by the disc lesions can cause tingling and numbness along the arm. So it has to be determined as to how much is the compression. So it varies on the compression. What is the reasons for it. If that is to be determined by radiological examination with x-rays and MRI’s, you will be able to determine what might be the extact cause and how severe it is . not that every patient will require MRI’s in every case. It can be teat initially symptomatic therapy with medications and physiotherapy and also if at all it is too severe, braces can be used to restrict the neck movements also. Most of the times these radiculopathies can be managed by non surgical methods and some cases there might be necessity for injections into the spine and in very rarely surgical intervention might be required to offset any significant compression over the nerves.

Currently I am facing the problem..visited 2 hospitals and after completing of MRI Right shoulder and MRI Two Shoulder's and CT scan, they said that, I have issue with the nerve system, may the nerve cells are died or deceased..I am still in confusion, is this type of problems also there..in human body..

I have had an MRI following me suffering with the exact same pain as you describe. The MRI showed i have degenerative disc disease in C3, 4, 5, 6. Will this be the cause of the pain and numbness i am suffering with for over 6 months. Thank you
