This recipe will reveal how you get extra crispy southern fried chicken using a the fried then baked technique. This recipe works with thighs, wings, drumsticks, breasts...the whole chicken. The spices I use is by Spiceology and seasoning is called Mother Plucker.
You need:
8 to 11 pieces of chicken. I am using 11 pieces of chicken thighs.
2 cups of buttermilk
2 large eggs
Kosther Salt
3 cups of all purpose flour
1 cup of corn starch
2 teaspoons of baking powder
4 cups of vegetable shortening or peanut oil
Salt and Pepper
Your choice of seasonings for your chicken
