I just made fried chicken today! I marinated mine overnight in 3 cups buttermilk and 1 cup of pickle juice and 1/2 cup of hot sauce. It turned out fantastic!! Yes on the air fryer recipes please.😁😁

This reminds me so much of my late grandma Ruth's fried chicken. She lived in Louisiana and whenever we would visit from Dallas she would make her fried chicken it was my favorite thing she cooked. Thanks for the recipe John!

Yes to the air fryer recipes and maybe some instant pot recipes as well. My Greek friend gave me one a copper pepper grinder many years ago. She said everyone good Greek household MUST have one. I think of her every time I use it--which is every day.

I used to make fried chicken a lot since it’s my husband’s favorite thing but I actually HATE making it! That being said I am hiding as I watch this so he doesn’t see and beg me to make some. 🤣🤣😂😂🤣😂😂

My favorite pieces are thighs, legs, and wings. To be able to Cook my chicken out at the same time I normally cut my chicken breast in half so that I'll be the same size. I learned a really cool trick washing Thomas Joseph over at cooking conundrums. At the bottom of a Dutch oven he placed a round wire rack so that the chicken isn't resting on the bottom and won't burn. That was one of the coolest tricks because I'm always burning the chicken and my family hates that. I love how you measure the hot sauce I just throw as much as possible 😂😂

That Shake N Bake commercial was from the sixties. I remember seeing it when I was a child. I would LOVE to see an air fryer version of this recipe.

After months of watching and watching and re watching this video—-I finally made it. And….it was AWESOME !!! Thank you ! I found the perfect temp was 340 all the way. The leftovers were even better 😊

I usually bake my chicken ahead of time before frying it. I'll season the meat itself, cook it to near doneness (usually 140-150), pull it out of the oven and let it come back to room temp. When I'm ready to fry, I'll coat it and dredge it as normal and then deep fry until I get the color I want. At that point, you're not worrying about doneness, only color and crunch and I have never had an issue with the chicken being dry or overcooked.
