I always say I want to live to be 120 years old, but feeling strong and healthy as I age is even more important to me. In this episode of “The Doctor’s Farmacy,” I delve into the intricate relationship between inflammation and aging, emphasizing the difference between lifespan and health span. I’m breaking down everything you need to know about the gut microbiome, inflammatory triggers, and effective strategies to reduce inflammation. Plus, I’ll share some practical tips on optimizing your diet and supplements to support your body's natural detoxification processes.

This episode is brought to you by AG1 and Happy Egg.

My goal at 83 isn’t slowing aging, it’s dying healthy. I don’t want a long period of pain due to cancer, a nursing home because of a stroke or memory care due to dementia. Because of some wonky blood tests, I am cleaning up my diet thanks in part to you.

I start every day with a sermon and then a video (or 5) from you. God fills my soul and you teach me how to truly honor what He gave me. You are giving us our health back...Never stop!

You were my inspiration to look for ways to lose weight; and I lost 66 pounds. Living a new life in my late 50s, with great food and exercise, and in great shape, and I keep listening to what you're saying! I can not thank you enough, dr. Hyman!

Yes! I did succeed! I took the Function Health panel and my biological age is 12 years less than my chronological age! 🎉🎉 that's because I've been following Dr. Hyman for a few years and I actually follow his advice. Thanks, Doc❤

Dr. Hyman's focus on the gut microbiome as a cornerstone of longevity is spot on. It's inspiring to learn how lifestyle factors can significantly impact our biological age. This video is a powerful reminder that true health is a holistic journey.

good vid. gut health is critical to longevity. the only problem is the foods you mentioned are mostly awful to eat. as an Italian American man i learned long ago the key to happiness every day of my life is how and what i eat. i call it "the Neapolitan lifestyle." i fully realize i am sacrificing years of my life on the back end based on the foods i consume. however, im happy and enjoy every day of my life because i eat the foods i enjoy. so for me, the trade-off is well worth it. i dont need to live longer by sacrificing living better.

A slide image on the Ps, a slide image on the systems, and a slide image on interventions would be great content reinforcer. Thank you so much!! Great info

Last year I enrolled in your Functional Medicine Testing Program for $499. I am disappointed that we never can have a live conversation with anyone to guide us through our results. Then I was charged again on auto renewal with notice or receiving a receipt. The refund I finally got was $100 short ‘due to costs of ‘operations running smoothly’. Your credibility is gone with me for sure!
