I have had this bag for several years, very happy with it but without the optional strapettes, it would stay home. For me the size and fit as just a hip pack was not feasible, too much bounce, an using the cargo capacity, the bag is too heavy to do anything but pull my pants down.
However with the backpack style straps, the bag has been a winner!! I have used this instead of a backpack, my back can breathe better, nice for day trips. I use an EVOC 3 L hip pack for actually using as a hip pack, small enough for that.

I found your channel while investigating a purchase of the MS Tour Lumbar Pack. I love that bottle pockets are big enough to hold two Smart Water Bottles on each side! I hiked in Joshua Tree and Yosemite this this summer and needed to carry plenty of water. I tried multiple daypacks but ended up using my big pack all synched down because that was the only way my back was comfortable. I am in hope that this will help me camel up without breaking my back. Thanks for the video!

Thank you.

External pocket would be great for sitting/kneeling pad. I make mine out of silver coated bubble wrap and gun tape. I use extensively when kayaking and hiking.

Love the Mountainsmiths butt packs. I've had a Day model for over 25 years. Just bought a new one in coyote, they call it something else. Big Mountainsmith following here in CO as they are based out of Golden. Everyone in the family has one, we all use the strappettes. Thanks for the vid, can't recommend these bags enough!

Can't find it in camo anymore! That is really unfortunate!

Great review!! I agree with your comment regarding the reduction of one belt pocket. make's no sense at all. A molle attachment point would be a good idea in the absence of the left pocket. The strappettes are a good idea if you want to carry a bit more gear (I have a day pack and sometimes load it up a bit more than usual). I heard that one day pack owner had to carry his wife out sitting on it after she injured her ankle and managed it OK!

Very nice bag.  I have been looking at that for a while.  Mountainsmith makes some great stuff.  I would have never thought about it being able to attach to Alice gear, that is pretty cool.

I have a Crumpler Camera Puch in mine for using as a camera bag. Small Tripod can be placed in shock cord section.

First of your videos I have watched. Great job. Covered most topics with out a bunch of extraneous talk.

I may choose this pack off of this video.
