I might be the odd one out, but I hate clamshell backpacks or duffel bags that open all the way to split into 2 sections. They are less durable and harder to use on the go when you can’t just set your bag down somewhere to rifle through it. I find using compression/packing cubes and a regular bag that opens at the top or only half way is the best compromise for durability, ease of use, and ease of finding my things in my various pouches/cubes.

I have number 1 and 3. Like both, Peak has more features and spacious, but AER X pack has outstanding quality.

Peak design owner here (45L version)- feels premium, the expansion is a lifesaver, but if that thing is packed out and you have to carry it through the airport it is one of the most uncomfortable backpacks I’ve ever had. I spent $300 on it and it’s amazing otherwise so I’m not trying to replace it but if I’d known ahead of time I probably would’ve gone with something else. Just something to consider for future potential buyers

Which one of these three do you carry most? And which one of these three could also be used for every day use

And they are international hand luggage size? Look a bit oversized to me.

I have the open story travel backpack. It was only 50$ and has an amazing amount of storage and is extremely well thoughts out

Honestly 1.3kg is the ultimate max for me to travel with a bag, ideally around 900-1kg… stuff adds up and these packs are way too heavy

I like how you have the bags set up library style, to many for traditional bag wall. How far out do you think before we will be able to preorder the community bag ? If there will be a pre order, and will it be named after Nomad Nation? Love what you guys are doing.

I love all your bag review videos, very informative, and very well done.
We do not however have the same taste in bags. Mainly because we don't have the same uses.

I've been looking at the WANDRD PRVKE 41L for a Large and practical carry-on. I see it and it's 31L variant favourably reviewed, but never brought up in these kind of shortlists, how come? Is it that far behind? I feel like I'm missing some piece of the puzzle.

I’ve been trying to decide between the Sympl and Aer bags from this video for the past week or two! Sympl is drawing me in with the looks (minus the slightly aggressive branding), the dual main compartments since I always bring an extra pair of shoes/boots, and the ability to carry duffel-style (though not sure how much I’d actually use that mode). The Aer is also an attractive bag with great materials, and seems to get praise just about anywhere I look. Any X-factors between them to help push me towards one or the other? If you had one bag to replace your roller carry-on, which would it be?

@aaron @nomads nation I am in the market for an AER City Pack Pro. I am stuck between Xpac vs Ballistic Nylon. I love the idea of aqua-guard zips and the orange interior. However, I live in Texas and it doesn’t rain here very much. I was interested in your thought process when choosing a bag. Why would you choose either in your experience? Lastly, thank you for your content and can’t wait to see what your backpack creation will look like. Best of luck brother and happy holidays.
