That air traffic controller flyby is such a lovely callback to Top Gun!

“That’s what my dad would have done”. Powerful. I had to hold it together not to cry like a baby at the movie theater. 😢

The look Maverick gives in the last second of this scene, of the last hug, he's only thinking about ONE person, Goose... incredible acting.. even though he'll never be able to have his friend back, or tell him how his son saved his life, he somehow found peace in himself. This movie teaches so much about brotherhood, incredible!
And a part of me also thinks it's a goodbye from Tom Cruise to this iconic role... amazing man, tears...

I seriously cannot watch this without smiling proudly and triumphantly at this. The hopeful sounding part when Mav does his fly-by already had me smiling, actually.

2:25 that look on Warlock’s face. He never doubted Mav for a second.

The most Tom Cruise movie ever. 5 out of 5 Tom Cruises.

So awesome to see Warlock cheering him on. He was the only one after Iceman who believed in Maverick.

The look on Cyclone's face after Mav buzzed the tower. "*sigh* He earned it."

Rooster and Hangman reminds me of young Maverick & Iceman❤

I just love the Cyclone's facial expression at 0:44. The face when a legendary bird from your youth is on approach for landing, just like the old times.

The "please don't tell me we lost an engine" always gets me. Hilarious and understandable anxiety as he already knows it's not going to be a pretty landing before losing a damn engine. As if he wasn't sure before the plane was going to crash and explode.

I just about had to pinch myself watching this movie in the theater. I couldn't believe I was seeing an honest to goodness FILM made on real cameras with real music and a real story to tell in the year 2022. Pay attention Hollywood... more of THIS please. ❤️

I thought it was so amazing that when his son saves his life you see a reflection of his father and it takes you back to the true friendship between Maverick and Goose. Goose lives on in the actions of his son.

“Please don’t tell me we lost an engine.”
