I LOVE THIS GUY 😭💖 I have been in a calorie deficit and I was thinking that my daily goal was the max I can eat! I was restricting and stressed out if I barely went over it. Now that I know this I am going to enjoy my weight loss process so much more!! Thank you for helping people create better relationships with food <3

Truth!! I was attempting to go way under what was already a low calorie deficit… and wasn’t losing weight added like 400 cal a day and I almost instantly started losing weight again

Thanks for this. As someone that needs to lose a lot of weight, it seems like weight loss needs to happen as quickly as possible. I’ve tried loosing weight for years only to get discouraged each time because I’m not dropping pounds as quickly as people (including myself) expect and I’m hungry on top of that. I have to remember, I’ve been chubby the majority of my life. I don’t have to be skinny by next week.

I’m glad I found you my second time around in weight loss. The first time I went crazy on the calorie deficit and then went crazy on food and gained the weight back because I had been depriving myself for almost a year! Your info is super helpful. Thanks you!

I love this info, and it's so accurate. Technically with a 2, 500 calorie maintenance level (the amount of calories you need to eat to maintain your current weight) you would be in a calorie deficit at 2, 400 calories, so 2, 000 calories would be a 500 calorie deficit, which is a lot. All a person would need to do is consistently be eating 2, 000 or more but less than 2, 500 in order to lose fat. Not necessarily to lose weight, because if you're building muscle then your actual weight might not be going anywhere, but you can still be losing fat.
Fun fact: if you aren't eating enough your body will start to canabolize itself, meaning your weight will go down, but you're not just losing fat, you're also losing muscle, and your body will start having mystery problems because it's attacking itself. You can break out in rashes, have brain fog or fainting spells, develop heart problems, or issues with other organs, end up with weakened bones, get sick very easily, have chronic fatigue, etc.
A calorie deficit is required to lose excess fat, but eating enough calories is required to live.

i needed this.. i’ve been trying to be in deficit and it’s making me feel so stressed counting calories which pushes me to feel “more hungry” even when i’m not. it’s been a struggle

I started counting my calories, and I know for people with anorexia that is terrible practice but I’m not doing it to lose weight, I’m doing it to make sure I’m actually eating adequately, and not under feeding myself, and so far I’m doing really well! I’m eating a good balance of foods and eating more than just enough to stay alive! I had almost 1k calories for breakfast and my goal ever day is to have 2k calories a day

It'll actually make you gain weight back faster too. In the past, I would try to starve myself for days, or eat very little for weeks. I would lose a ton of weight, but as soon as I started eating normally again, not even unhealthy I would gain back even more weight. I don't even eat that unhealthy either, and now I just make sure to eat more of the right things, and I have maintained my weight pretty well actually

Thank you for all your videos and information.. i've been struggling with over or under eating for YEARS.. even with help from my fiancee it's always been an issue, your videos have helped me feel so much better. you show both ends of the scale, you give REAL TIPS how to fix the problems slowly, you dont give toxic view points of weight.. thank you so much for what you do here.

To my knowledge, which isn’t a lot do take it with a grain of salt, when your in a severe calorie deficit your body will keep the fat because then it will have an energy reserve, cause your body is thinking it’s in a famine again or some shit

I used to have an app to track my calories but after some times I realized that app was slowly giving me ED. I was on a 1600cal deficit ( which is not enough for me ). For example if one day I ate 1601 the whole screen will turn RED and in the calendar that date will also be red and with a ❌ . But if I ate less then a 1600 cal it's all good, the screen will be green and the date in the calendar too with a ✔️ . So most of the time I only ate like a 1400 cal a day. My head was killing me every day so now I don't use that 💩💩💩 app I fell much better
( sorry for my English it is not my first language haha)

I can't find the link anywhere. I looked in the description and on your about page here on youtube. Could you post that please?

Okay so question…I’m a vegan (not for weightloss purposes but it does certainly help) and I’m currently overweight from not being a vegan the last five years and eating garbage. SO, that being said, when I eat now I really just eat a meal when I’m hungry for one. Sometimes that’s three times a day, sometimes that’s only twice a day…sometimes once and I’ll eat two nutrient dense snacks but they’re definitely not meals. Being that I have had high cortisol levels in the past and also have PCOS (hard to lose weight), should I be more frugal about making sure I eat enough? Or is it okay to only eat when I’m hungry? I know I’m eating far less calories than I was…I don’t want to block weight loss or get less than I need to thrive, but I feel fine eating this way. Am I good or nah? Lol
