I stopped losing weight on carnivore because I’ve got no more fat left to lose!!! And I’m loving it (sorry McDonald’s 😆)

Well for me this way of eating has cost me a fortune, I have now got to buy all new clothes, nothing fits any more and my old clothes look ridiculous. Thanks Dr Baker for the now empty wallet but I feel 15 years younger, no more joint pain, better mentally than I have been in 30 years and have so much energy that all I want to do is train and play all day 😊

Been carnivore for 3 months. Had an initial weight loss of 10kg in the first month, then nothing on the scale.
Been working out, noticed I had no pains the day after in my muscles, even when doing a lot of weights.
Lost 4" on my waist, 1" off my neck and jacket size from a 52 to a 48.
My face and shoulders look thinner.
I'm changing shape in a positive way and gaining muscle, that's all i can conclude. I don't care what the scale says, i care what the mirror says.

For me, over-consumption of dairy will add pounds. So, when I want to lean out, I'll cut way back on heavy cream & cheeses.

The main thing from what I have seen is the fat. When you are first starting out you want to eat a lot of fat to keep you satisfied and help you fight cravings. But once you become fat adapted and cravings stop being an issue if you are trying to lose weight you may need to start eating leaner cuts of meat. Because once your body starts to burn fat for fuel it can either burn what you already have stored or burn the fat that you are eating. So if you switch to high protein and lower fat your body will burn more of the fat you have stored.

Prof Bart Kay is 5'6", and he did a carnivore "priming" period of 14 days. He ate 6000+ calories of meat every day. At the end of two weeks, he was 15lbs lighter. 12lbs of water and 3 lbs of fat.

I'm not convinced that if you're eating "lion" style that calorie content matters at all. Mainly because i don't even look at how many calories i eat, but i am sedentary and eat 3lbs+ per day. I am 6', 165lbs and i have a six pack and an Adonis notch.

The only time i had trouble was when i wasn't eating enough protein and didn't realize it. Once i upped my consumption, the problems went away and my body comp continued to improve.

Re: over-consuming fat: I was trying to cut down on my coffee. I used to drink 4-5 cups per day, and I was drinking it with heavy cream. I don't like it black as much, so I figured if I cut out the cream it would be easier to cut back on the coffee. I started drinking it black on Jun 17th, and within 4 weeks, I'd lost 7 lbs. (5 of it was fat loss)! In restrospect, it makes sense, because about a year ago, I started adding cream into my coffee, and my weight, which had been stable around 132, slowly rose over 6-8 months to 138. After just over two months without the cream, my weight is back to between 130-132. Amazing what a large impact a small change can make!

Body is dynamic
Will gain will loose don’t matter What matter is the Health benefit you get in the long run.
Don’t matter how tiny you gain from day to day you will soon realize you actually loosing fat and weight down the road.

My case I’m a physician as well 23 years on High Blood Pressure Medication ARBs same meds i prescribe to my pts started carnivore 5months ago, lost 40 pounds 6 holes down my belt, incredible, so sad at one point we are trained to solve the snap shoot Instead of the body as a whole. Trying to move all my patients into different approach and even coming from me you face such a wall of resistant. I posted in a colleague Chat later every body went silent (meaning they all believe I’m wrong)

I am pretty excited Dr. Baker because my resistance training has made me gain a few more pounds in muscle weight like you wanted to see!! I am now 124lbs instead of 120lbs like last May at 5’7” and age 47 now. Will keep going! ☺️👌🏻

Yes. I look at clothes size numbers, not the scale. You absolutely gain weight, or fail to lose weight when you start gaining muscle.

I quit losing weight 225 lb to 140 lb but I'm still losing inches I can get in my teenage jeans they are as tight as can be but I'm in them😊💃not stoping not giving up.

Good video but in my opinion, a calorie is just a word made up by physics science theory, to explain heat burned as energy and has nothing to do with nutrition or fat loss. I have no interest in calories or losing weight. Because losing weight as the result of cutting back on calories, and limiting nutrition by cutting back on calories, a person will lose fat and muscle. Then gain more fat because of the nutrition loss by binge eating.

My goal was to lose fat and gain muscle mass. So I just do not eat plants. Because science proved that all plants contain toxic chemicals that plants use to defend themselves. I lift weights 3 times a week, and use a chest pull 7 days a week. However I hit stuck points because of drinking milk, and eating cheese. And inflammation from type 2 diabetes. I cut out the milk and cheese, and dealt with the inflammation. And it is working.

Interesting. I didn’t lose any weight for the first 6 weeks on carnivore diet. Every one kept saying I wasn’t eating enough and needed to up my fats. Lost of conflicting advice in the carnivore community. I changed to lion diet and I’m starting to lose weight and inches

Lost 17lbs in 6 weeks on carnivore. Hoping to keep the momentum up, but it always concerns me. Still need to lose 30lbs. I am at 95% Carnivore with some additional food added as follows:
One Avocado a week, sauerkraut once/twice a week, half a lime daily to prevent stones and to help joints, small glass of Kefir a day, spices on meats. No sugar and no carbs other than what I listed. 36 hour fast every two weeks. That is my program.
