Hurricane Milton struck Florida on Wednesday evening as a major Category 3 storm with sustained winds of 205 km/h. The storm roared across the state with damaging winds, flooding rains, and a historic tornado outbreak that killed at least ten people. Here’s a look at how Milton’s track across Florida stacked up against the conditions forecasters worried would come to pass. What went right and what fell short with meteorologist Kevin Mackay has the details.

The recovery can be what makes a difference between knocking it out of the park and dismal failure, FEMA, let's see what you're made of.

It's like the Simpson's episode where the newscaster asks the expert, "is it time for people to panic?" and of course, the answer was "yes".

Of course, naming a Hurricane "Milton" brings up "Paradise Lost", so, yeah...maybe that was the idea?

I believe God answered many of our prayers to soften Milton. Perhaps those tornadoes were tapping off energy from the storm?

Oh what happened to the 15 meter storm surges? Oh and this storm is unsurviveable? It's hard to take seriously and know when its ACTUALLY dangerous and when to evacuate.
