Hurricane Milton update: Tracking storm's path

Hurricane Milton weakened slightly on Tuesday but remained a powerful storm that could directly hit the Tampa, Florida area. Nearly the entire west coast of Florida is under a hurricane warning as the storm's 155 mph winds approach the state. Hurricane Helene devastated the area less than two weeks ago.

As your neighbor just out of the line of fire, I will be praying for everyone in the path. Please take precautions. Mother nature is a force greater than we can imagine.

Best case for Milton to affect the least number of people and homes is to track south of the Tampa Bay and Orlando areas. This looks like it'll track north of there damaging thousands more houses with a larger storm surge in the Tampa Bay. Praying for everyone affected by this massive storm.

NHC and Zoom Earth both have track and the eye going south of Tampa at Bradenton. Why is this track so far north?

Yet many non essential companies are still requiring employees to come to work in Orlando. Companies like Crash Champions should be ashamed of themselves. I have two friends that work there and they were told they have to work at the Orlando shops smh

I’m thankful hurricanes can only dump rain upon us here in Nashville. And this one won’t impact us at all like Helene did

Any news whatsoever from Mexico or Cuba regarding this storm? Or does our awareness really end at Florida?

What does this mean for us living in Ocala, Fl?

The problem with most Florida houses is that they only have one floor so if we get storm surge gotta bust thru the roof. Lets hope all my fellow Floridians are safe. And like we Floridians say. Time to hunker down. Btw Ive checked every hotel motel and they are totally full and there is no gas along the highways. Just traffic jams and people running out of gas
