I introduced Ali Greymond to my therapist today (MA-LPC). He had never heard of confession OCD and for a brief moment he thought I was making it up. I peaked his curiosity and he took Ali's name down to do research.

Hi, alot of time i deal with feeling bad cause i label every bad thought and feeling as ocd, when they can be other thing, like everything cant be ocd... and its gets worse when i watch a video and all i hear about ocd thoughts its the harm/religious and these type of thoughts when i have thoughts in my normal life, and i feel bad to say "its ocd"

My question for ocd is something I have never seen covered by anyone. When someone gets “stick in a rut” or basically they live groundhog day, they are living so much in auto mode and certainty that they don’t even know that they are consumed by traps of certainty and they control every aspect of their life like that. Thrn when a stressor comes in, their model of certainty is endangered and distress and anxiety comes, then they realise all this while they were in ocd. Can anyone relate? You like that prison and can forget you’re in there. What a tragedy!

I didn't know there's a distinction between active and passive rumination and I was frustrated that I can't properly track because I didn't know when passive happened. How do you differentiate between passive and active? If I do a compulsion as a habit and don't realize I just did it is it passive?

Of course I take it seriously. I have harmocd of harming a loved one. How can I not take it seriously? Everyday im on the edge, every day is a challege, every day I feel convinced im going to act on it.
