I watched you while getting ready for the day (6:30ish) and its now 10:00am and i just finished The Kingdom of Needle and Bone on your recommendation. Wow that was a hidden gem!! So many conversations to be had !! I often wonder what it would be like to visit Stephen Kings brain! Mira Grants might be so much more terrifying!!! Thanks for the recommendation.

If you liked Stiff, you might be interested in From Here to Eternity. It's written by a woman who is a "funeral director" (though she is very critical of the modern US funeral industry) and she travels the world to write about the ways in which different cultures and religious groups handle death, burial, corpses, and the whole deal. It was REALLY good.

Stiff sounds like something I would read. Writing it down! I picked up The Butterfly Garden and it was excellent. I will be continuing with the series.

Totally feel the same about The Cabin at the End of the World. It was our book club book and I couldnt have hated it more.

I loved The Whisper Man! I have had The Butterfly Garden on my kindle forever but I still haven't gotten around to it, it sounds up my alley though. Same with American Predator, so dont feel weird there's more of us out there😂

Stiff sounds amazing! Non fiction is one of my favorite genres, specifically science based ones.

Because you enjoyed Stiff so much, you might also enjoy some of Caitlin Doughty's books. She's a mortician and she has three books so far, all about the science of death. I've read two and they're both really good. (I have read Stiff too)

The Collector series is one of my absolute favorite series' ever! I also love Alane Ferguson's Forensic Mysteries series, first book of those is The Christopher Killer. :)

I listened to Gulp and can’t wait to get my hands on Stiff. The research, organization, and writing are top notch. I definitely recommend it for a follow up. And if you choose the audio version, you wont be disappointed.

Stiff has been on my TBR for years. One book I really liked on this subject is, "How We Die."

In my opinion, true crime can even have 5 stars because the rating will be judge in terms of facts, research, reliable documentation used in the book as well as how everything is put together. I need to read that book!👍
