I love that in All that Remains Black recognizes the interpreters she works with in Kosovo and how traumatic the job can be - all too often we're overlooked! The memoir section at the beginning wasn't my kind of thing, but when she got into the science I was so there.

I'm just watching this video, and after watching your 5yr bloopers video, it cracks me up to watch your well done videos, wondering how many bloopers you had to go thru to get them done, I love your videos and how well detailed your book reviews are 😂😂🥰🥰🥰🥰

I also just read The Woman In White! Really enjoyed it in general and Count Fosco is a fantastic villain, but I definitely agree with you on the length. Suspense only works if you deliver soon enough!!

The Woman in White is one I've had on my TBR for a while now, it sounds so good. I read the first few chapters of Lady Audley's Secret the other day and it did seem quite melodramatic. I still want to continue reading it though. Great video :)

I too read The Woman in White for Victober. I absolutely loved it though. It was my favorite read of the month. The way you felt about the unnecessary length of the woman in white is how I felt about Great Expectations which I also read for Victober. I felt like Dickens gave that book a good ole padding. Lol.
Hope you have a great November!

Olive! I feel like you have missed your calling; you should review books all day- everyday! ;) But seriously, I am really impressed by your unprejudiced, eloquent and often humorous way of reviewing! Always a pleasure to watch :)

All That Remains, despite its difficulties, sounds like a really fascinating read. How to Catch a Mole sounds absolutely fabulous, too. Both will be purchased momentarily. Thank you for introducing me to two new books!

I listened to the audiobook version of All that Remains, narrated by the author. I thought it was fantastic too. It's one of my favourite books.

I adore women in white - I just have decided all classics are way longer than need be! I am currently reading lab girl from your reviews and really like it so far- thanks!

I agree with you about Her Fearful Symmetry. The climax bothered me most about it -- just dumb.

I've added "All That Remains" to my TBR. Thank you!
And, dangit, I wish I'd seen your thoughts on "Her Fearful Symmetry" before I bought it. It'll be moved to the bottom of the TBR stack!

My nonfictionNovember stack keeps growing, and I 100% blame (and thank) you! :)

I mean, the rodents move and scurry. The corpses usually don't XD

I loved The Woman in White, but it does go on a bit. Last week I was returning books at the library and saw How to Catch a Mole and checked it out. It sounds like something I'll enjoy!

I loved The Woman in White. It’s long, but I was so wrapped up I read it in 2 days. Lol. And (no spoilers) this is the absolute best villain. I loved him so much. You always read the most varied types of books, and I really like hearing your thoughts. I also hated Her Fearful Symmetry. It just made no sense towards the end.

I read (well, still reading 🙈) North and South after seeing you rave about it a few Victobers ago... stellar read! Definitely think I’ll do at least one Victober read each year, next year I think it’ll be The Warden. Looking forward to nonfiction November 💛

Really enjoyed How TO Catch a Mole too. Sadly didn't get to meet Marc at the Wainwright Prize though. I have my wrap up to write over the weekend.

Yeah, I HATED Her Fearful Symmetry and I read it back in 2011(?). That was a book I was so excited to read and then ended up loathing it.

I am interested in reading Horror Stories, looks like a good one!
