I've had the most luck with the Freestyle Libre. I suggest asking your doctor for an order and then asking the pharmacy to run it through their discount card. Levels Health, Signos, and Nutrisense are other options who have a network of prescribing providers if you need one.

Dr. Nolte, I have watched allot of videos since being diagnosed with pre-diabetes with a 5.7 A1C1. This by far has been my favorite video on this subject. Thank you for everything you do and by keeping us informed on the subject of diabetes and especially ways to reverse it. Also a big thank you for keeping this video up. I plan on re-watching it many times as a refresher as I work to reduce my A1C1.

My doctor told me I have pre diabetes but didn’t say anything more. No instructions as to what to do and no next steps. I guess we’re not even going to watch it.

This is the most comprehensive video on the subject I’ve seen in a while. There are far less qualified people selling classes on this for much, much more money. I already have learned this stuff and have lost 138 lbs so far and gotten my A1C down to normal range. I’m going for optimal and looking for the September class. Hope it’s affordable as well. I’m 60 and we were given terrible advice about eating and food my whole life. I diligently followed their recommendations and grew fatter and fatter, sicker and sicker. Food is information to our body. A calorie is not a calorie. And eating 6 small meals per day is at the root of most disease!

Thank you especially for clearing up the amount of protein and how to eat it around 50:00 I think I’ve been eating too much in one sitting to do intermittent fasting longer.

I'm happy to have found you. Learned to calculate the protein needs per meal and the importance of spreading meals to achieve better results.

I am an 8. Actual I have been carnivore since Jan. 2023. Rarely have an occasional cheat. Maybe once a month or 1 or 2 Oreos. I wear cgm & am right now am 182 bg..This ranges from 120 to about 180. I stopped insulin after about 3 to 4 wks on carnivore. My bg was then usually 65 to 85. Now it is too high?? I truly rarely cheat & rarely have more than 5-10 carbs in a day. I do have meat with the fat, eggs, butter, black coffee. I am a 75 yr old woman. I do some exercise, but not enough. Trying to do better.

I relate to number 8 and have been low to no carb for 10 months. At age 66 I only found out I was prediabetic/IR 8 months into the diet. Have been tracking and graphing daily glucose reading, progress is very slow but some is being made. This week I am employing HIT and am about to start 2nd 2 day fast. Also it is rare I get into ketosis and urine had mostly been dark until recently it has begun to clear. Daily avg. glucose over last 2.5 months has been 116 and 2.5 months ago HBA1C was 5.9. I take no drugs Rx or OTC. Extreme sleep issues and fatigue. Will retest soon

My cholesterol was very very high, when I was eating animal protein. I have also COPD and had to do the maximum inhalations possible, also I was not overweight. I am 5, 4 and weight 125 pounds. For six years I am on a whole plant food diet now and all my blood work is great and I only have to take my inhalers once every day ❤

Fasting glucose 120 but but a1c is 5.0. How do you make sense of that? On keto for a year and on carnivore for last three months. Started at 301 lbs and now 226 lbs. blood pressure is now 120/65. 74 yr old male.

I have been doing keto for over a year. I haven't been able to get my sugars down below 140. it stays steady but if I do eat any carbs I go up to 200+ and carry that number for days.. I have to walk every 2 hours and drink ACV to get it back to under 200. Even OMAD it won't come down. The only other thing I do That works is fasting for 24-36 hours. I don't spike but it just doesn't come down below 150 on a steady . I do use a cgm.

I have a question. I am pre-diabetic my entire family all the way from grandparents down are diabetics.
But every time I get my A1C done it's about 5.9 But I noticed that my eye was starting to go blurry. So I went to an ophthalmologist and he said that I have diabetic vein. And he wants to put a shot in my eye every month. Can't I fix this with just diet?
