This video answered a big question I was battling in my head with your soak method. I have avoided trying it because I assumed that it would do exactly that and be to wet. Im am preparing to start my first 8x12 grow space focusing on oyster strains. Thankyou for sharing the development of your farm. I've spent hours watching your videos and have learned a lot of things I should avoid in which I most definitely would not have if I didn't have the advice. Huge thanks to MossyCreek mushrooms for sharing there success and failures with us, I feel like I have attended a mycology course after a month of watching the Chanel. Once again, hats off to MossyCreek mushrooms.

Thanks Andrew - I'm thinking I'll try the same with straw for my oysters as that grain spawn will end up on straw.

You got me really excited now I have been trying to use Rey grain and this is the 2nd year and the Rey is either too dry or it was cooked to long and bursting open just a big problem for me but that I will try next year. But since I don't have a high price filter I want to add some I got plenty of oak sawdust from my woodworking hobby what else should I add to on top of the oats I am going to do at a later time I saw you using wood pellets and Soy hulls I think that is what you and how about calcium and wheat bran? I left My email in the other comment.

Ive been using popcorn as my grain but i realized i did not boil it long enough and it is not soft enough to squeeze. Would this stop the mycelium from fulling inoculating the popcorn? The growth seemed to have stopped after i have shaken the grow bag

Can I do this with mason jars, like maybe 1 or 2 pellets in a 500ml jar

You do this prior to pressure cooking?

I wanted to ask..how do you keep from not burning and bags filling with air in the presto? I’m also sealing my bags before sterilization cause I’m not doing grain to grain..

For a while now I have been making 12 (one lb) bags in my 23qt pressure cooker without any issues. On my last two runs im finding more moisture in my bags that I would like. I line my pressure cooker with a towel (as a heat shield) that solved my melting bags. and for a long time that has been perfect .Now I cant figure out how moisture has gotten into the last two batches? am I not drying my grain enough? I fold the bags over the filter patch so I dont know how water can be getting in that way, Any advice from anyone would be amazing.
