FOR RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY

In this video I will show you the finished results of my first video " How to Inoculate Grain Spawn Bags". I will also demonstrate how to stimulate mycelium growth in a spawn bag where growth has stopped completely or drastically slowed down. As well, as how to tell when the grain spawn bag is ready.

These are the links to Part 1: How to Inoculate Grain Spawn Bags:

I don’t let bags just sit upright all the time I stand them up and lay them down every couple days. Keeps any extra moisture from pooling in 1 spot that will start wet rot.

This encouraged me to wait longer before fruiting my all in one bag because it’s the only video that properly shows the right stages. Thank you so much for this.

I like how you spend time explaining what a spawn bag should look like when colonizing. Most videos skip over this part and don't go into detail. ONe thing I do with my spawn bags is to photograph them every other day, this way to can spot if they stall. Usually mixing them up when you notice them slowing down will prevent them from stalling completely.

Thank you very much, I doing this for the first time and my mycelium stopped growing, I just crushed it all up in the bag and hoping that stimulates it. Thanks again for the advice!

The mixing helps spread it, but the reason it stopped was co2. The real reason it shot off again was the fresh air being exchanged when handling the bag

Amazing, exactly the videoI was looking for. My first bag is getting close to full colonisation, I'm excited!

Hey! Thank you! Finally a video on YouTube that helps people grow (pun intended)…that’s what YouTube used to be, your one stop learning spot…but now it’s way too young kids jiggling their parts in some mating ritual I just don’t get. Thank you for doing your part to add value back to this place. Good on you!

Nice video! I have only ever made my grain spawn with brown rice and usually get to see results from inoculation 24hrs later. I thought this was normal but now I'm trying wheat for the first time and 5 days later only a couple of them are just starting to show. I always use 2cc of LC to kick them off and was starting to get concerned. Looks like I will just be patient with this batch! I'll setup another lot for rice tomorrow and they will be ready way before my wheat bags. I like bags Vs bottles as its easier to manipulate the mycelium and spread it around.

when the bag is white, should one open the bag and spread the mycelium on a sterilized tub?
