Wait... this is now a continuity error because the 3 bears are all alive in the new Puss in Boots movie and that movie directly references Shrek so we know it's not a prequel. How can Momma Bear have died in the first Shrek if all 3 bears are alive in another movie?

Also something to note is that baby is older in Puss in Boots and all the bears have unexplained scars that aren't seen in the clips from Shrek so maybe they got those scars fighting Farquards soldiers and them not wanting to admit the bears got away just put mama bear's bow on a random bear rug.

Shrek also has a problem at the end... Shrek is supposed to change back to human form after a kiss from his "true love". Yet, after the kiss, he doesn't change back. That means that Fiona was NOT his true love. It's hard to believe that nobody ever noticed this. I picked it up immediately the first time I saw it, and that always bugged me.
