I believe Dragon is fionas older sister the whole time she was cursed, just like her both having to turn into feared monsters of the time. Dragon, I feel, was the ki g and queens first child, but she stayed stuck because she was never able to find her true love, and that form just stayed . She is much older than fiona, maybe 10 years or so, hence why she never knew of her, but Dragon always knew of fiona . I believe Dragon was always trying to keep fiona safe, not hurt her. So donkey is royal, too .
