When you said “I don’t have a sick family member that I need to take care of”....I very nearly burst into tears. Thank you for *seeing* us

"People massively overestimate what they can do in a day and underestimate what they can do in a year."

I'm people.

The acknowledgment of the chronically ill and disabled in the beginning made me feel seen in a world that often forgets us. Especially after the past year. Thank you for this. As always, wonderful work.

1. You are a marvelous human man
2. I’m not hitting on you, I’m a 72 year old artist/successful musician who has had enough time to check out how the world works and you, dear one, have a LIFE ahead of you! Notice I didn’t say perfect or great or any superlative because any Life truly lived has its Ups and Downs, but YOU, you already have a Compass (at least 80% of the battle!) Congratulations
3. I’m so glad that I found your channel. You’re an inspiration! Keep up the good work!

"If you do happen to over commit you have to deliver".

yep! been there done that and it was worth it. I think the one thing I would add to this video is make sure what you are committing to do are your priorities and not somebody else's. it's amazing how much of our time goes to other peoples asks when we haven't even gotten our priorities done yet.

I really liked that he took in consideration disabled people, mothers and others in this video because a lot of the time we forget that depending on who we are the time management can be completely different or take longer for something smaller.
Thanks for the reflection lol

i appreciate that you mention illnesses and other things in the beginning. I have really bad depression and ADHD just tops it off. It's so hard to even do normal people things, imagine trying to do anything that will reap fruit in the future when you don't even give a f about future, cuz well, you wanna be gone. Everything feels so empty and meaningless and I never have energy, brainfog is also a (redactred). People brush that off as a laziness but only I know how many times I just sat with my tabled and felt numb then cried out of frustration.

The fact that you toss kids AND chronic illness is amazing because spoon theory with chronic illness is a thing and having it acknowledged is pretty powerful. Good on you sir

Have chronic fatigue after getting covid in March 2020. Clicked onto this video because I'm struggling to manage all the work I used to now lockdown is easing and my work is picking up. Reversed my car into a tree on Wednesday. Because I was fatigued from doing a fraction of my old work load. Your intro mentioning chronic illness just stopped me in my tracks. I have a chronic illness. Normal rules don't apply. I can only do what I can do. I need to reassess my schedule. I'm going to watch the rest of the video now. Thank you for getting what I'm dealing with, even when I didn't!

“Third disclaimer…I don’t have a chronic illness.” Yes, thank you! I have fibromyalgia along with a few other physical and mental issues. Some days I am an absolute fiend checking things off my to-do list and other days I can barely get anything done because it’s a high pain day or a high symptom day. I try to tell myself that’s alright.
Thank you for acknowledging us 😊

I mean, it seems obvious, but breaking things down into "first shitty page" levels -- that's SUPER helpful!! it's not going to be amazing from the start, but it won't be ANYTHING unless you start! thanks for another great video :D
