How To Cold Call For Sales Prospecting
In this video, we will dive into a live cold call role play on exactly how to cold call and warm up prospects. The goal of a cold call is to build a relationship with your prospect and move them into the next phase of your sales process.

How To Make Cold Calls Strategy
The main cold call strategy we'll be using is using our cold call script. We're first going to start the cold call by building rapport with the prospect using tonality. From there, the next part of the cold call script is to set expectations for the call. In the live cold call, Patrick will be selling advertising services to a gaming studio.

The next cold call technique is to ask questions to identify any pains the prospect may have. In this cold call training, Patrick is fishing for pains he knows to use to later position his offer as the solution.

Patrick! I had to stop by and thank you for this video. I wrote a script for an interview mock call for a BDR position, using some of your tips here, and got the job. The hiring manager was impressed by me writing the script, but this line: “…do you mind if I go ahead and make a recommendation?” impressed him so much! I appreciate the knowledge you share!

Hi @Patrick Dang. My number one take away was how you did sales without being pushy by using two phrases stood out the most "Is that fair?" and "I'm curious" Thank you for sharing this video :)

Just want to put it out there that while there is no one method to executing a cold call - this guy here nails it very well. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY VIEW COUNTS.

Hello Patrick, I watch your sales videos more often and they helped me alot in my interviews. For this particular call don’t you think the lead portrayed is so positive and kind towards answering every question with detailed answers. Thats so ambitious in real life cold calls. What I would imagine looking at is a rude lead in the initial minutes which is qualified in the later part. I appreciate your help😇

Hey Patrick, that was awesome! I never thought I would have to reenter the world of cold calling, but as a newly incepted entrepreneur, I understand that is paramount. My biggest take away is that you were not pitchy, but relational. You didn't push a sell rather provided a possible solution to an area that the director may have not considered. You took that and capitalized on the moment to meet again to explore the possibility of solving their issue. Ingenious!

Hi Patrick, this is a really nice learning material. I can see this script has a 1) nice opening 0:32 - asking for help is usually not going to get rejection 2) 1:21 nice up-front contract to establish another 5 mins of talking time 3) 1:33 show your home work and said something relevant to Tom so he opens up about his situation

My question though is :
1 before you call, did you already know Tom is head of acquisition? If Yes, why do you not acknowledge that in the beginning of the call? If No, then how do you plan to get to know what Tom is in-charge of?

2 how do you find Tom? from LInkedIN? if that is the case, how do you get his phone number?

Thank you very much.

I like the fact that the next meeting will consist of fact-finding, needs analysis, and client qualification. There's no sense working with prospects that don't qualify for whatever reason.

Also, you were gently probing any pain points they might have. I noticed also that the prospect kept mentioning ROI and various other metric. This gives you an idea about his personality and his most important goals.

I'm impressed...

4:41 the turnaround point which shows that how much it is important to do a good amount of research on your prospect

What I find interesting is that he was also doing something else here. In the role play the prospect really changed tones when he was given useful information about game adverts

Thank you Patrick for this content, you can see how hard your worked for it. one big/ small comment I have - a good sales rep isnt someone who is running a script, a good one I believe is someone who knows how to deal with obstacles and there are so many. because this kind of call is very rare to achieve if you talk to some one and surprise them on the other side. I hope you'll set a content based specifically on Average obstacles like - I do not have time at the moment, not interested, we already have this service and very pleased - etc. , thank you for your amazing content
