Honestly, if he went for the kill they actually would have won. Also I haven't read the comics so yeah I don't have much knowledge on this subject. Also I guess that if he did that he might kinda change his character cuz he isn't a killer. But he could have knocked Thula out at least when having the chance or so.

I like how the other Viltrumites refer to Omni-Man as "The Great Nolan" or show similar expressions of respect. One guy even said he looked up to him when he was a kid. It makes the blow to their cause all the more shocking when they learn he betrayed them. The Coalition can exploit that quite well...
