I love how Cecil looks genuinely hurt when Nolan says “They were weak”.

The amount of trust Cecil puts into the person teleporting him is more trust than I put in my own family.

Fun fact: it was never mentioned in the show but Cecil mentioned in the comics that it costs taxpayers $5 million every time he teleports and that he's addicted to teleporting.

I love Cecil’s involuntary chuckles of relief every time he re-appears. It’s like in the micro second between things going black for him and him appearing he’s thinking:
“OH GOD OH NO HE GOT ME IM DEAD OH G—“
*boop*
*chuckle* “oh thank god”

The fact that Cecil managed to get a direct shot at Nolan is an impressive feat in and of itself.

Whoever was controlling Cecil's teleporter needs a damn raise.

0:40 i love how after Cecil says his line the person teleporting him immediately teleports him cus they thought Omni Man was going to attack but didn’t.

This show demonstrates over and over again how much of a leg up great voice acting gives you. I’m absolutely hyped for season 2.

They make Cecil a lot more likable and sympathetic in the show than in the comic. Like you get that he’s a man that makes amoral, and difficult decisions for the protection of humanity but in the show it’s more clear that he actually feels things, and regrets the things he has to do.

I like how when Cecil asks if Mark knows, Nolan has this look of terror at the thought of Mark finding out and probably knowing for certain that he won’t approve. Goes to show that after all this time, his family gave him a better purpose than Viltrum ever could. He doesn’t want to destroy Earth, but he feels he has to do it

Imagine the person controlling the teleporter was a second off.

Such amazing dialogue, a character who doesn’t fight at all but is just shown risking it all for a monologue and a shot at the antagonist’s conscience. The delivery is perfect

The realistic “ohs” when Cecil barely makes it back are one of the things that I like about this show- realistic responses

I have even more respect for this man. Throwing away his moral values and risking his life to face one of the strongest being in the world.

1:25 that unintentional slacking of the face in Nolan speaks so much about their relationship. He's legitimately shocked that Cecil considered him a proper friend and that his betrayal hurt. They weren't just coworkers. Cecil did consider him someone to rely on. And that furrowing of the brows and looking away at 1:00 shows Nolan's inner conflict. Cecil is reading him very well - Nolan didn't WANT to kill them. But if he didn't, then they'd get ripped apart by the Viltrumite backup. And many more people would die in the resistance.

My favorite part about Nolan is that, despite all the rage, the pride, the violence . . .

You still see glimpses of humanity within him, even at his very worse.

Twinges of sympathy. Moments of regret. Feelings of sadness and reluctance.

"Dont say her name" are not the words of someone who considers her a pet

The little nuances in Nolan's face when Cecil brings up Debby being hurt and the reason for killing the guardian's is kind of heart breaking after knowing he genuinely grew feelings for his family and friends.

Cecil was ON POINT absolutely bodied Omni man in this scene
