I find it very interesting how the difference in lifespans between the species teaches them different things.
Viltrumites live so long they learn to distance themselves and avoid attachments. Humans live short lives and strive for those very same attachments.
Thraxans live even shorter lives, so they cherish everything that comes their way and let the negatives in life pass them.

Nolan chose Andressa for the same reason he chose Debbie.

Viltrumites were taught that all other life in the galaxy is shorter, therefore beneath them. But Nolan’s partners showed the other side of the perspective.
Because there’s so little time, they use it to their fullest.

Funny that Thraxian lives are so short that literal generations go by in a year. Omniman as the emperor could have taught them all to speak English and it doesn't even break the story.
