In this week's episode I will talk about if Christians should fast and if we are supposed to. I will give you five reasons we fast as Christians and where we can see those reasons in scripture.

I'm 16, and I was raised in a church, but I never really felt anything until a childrens and youth director joined our church. She really got me involved in Christian activities and Bible studies, and I grew a lot, but I was still so lukewarm since I was so attached to my phone and my choice in friends who weren't Christian. Wednesday night, God put the right video on my home page, and I've devoted fully back. I don't want to be lukewarm nor wishy-washy, but I want to stand firm on the Lord's word and live my life by it.
Your videos have helped a lot. I've began putting them on every night as I go to bed and watching them first thing in the morning to make sure that I remember to choose to love and honor God in all I do.
I found this video, and I have decided to fast from all food and only consume water (and the vitamins my doctor prescribed me) for one day so that I can really devote myself and move past sinful temptation. Thank you for the motivation and help your videos have given me, for they are really helping me connect with the Father. He deserves my praise

More serenity has been achieved by dying in the flesh in order to live in the Spirit, rather than the other way round. It is also to humble ourselves, we must be careful not to become self righteous in our fasting which will nullify it's true purpose. And yes, grow the goatee man.

God is calling me to fast, and I oblige. But I was thinking if I should start my first fast for 3 or 2 days and was asking God on his preference. I said to HIM to give it to me in a most obvious way that I can immediately recognize and know. And Lo and Behold at 18:38 GOD answered me through you. PRAISE GOD! I felt called to fast about 6 weeks ago, and I thought I knew why but, as previous fasts have shown me, I never truly do. 😅 I was excited, there was a lot of moving parts in my life then (still are). I figured I would fast for anywhere from 3-7 days just depending on what I felt called to. I made it 24 hours and then got miserably sick - it was whatever respiratory infection was going around at the beginning of April. With the confidence of the Holy Spirit, I ceased the fast so I could get well again. I was sorely disappointed! I friggin’ hate the enemy. I struggled with guilt and shame for a time around not being able to complete my fast.

Fast forward to now and I’ve been thinking about fasting again ever since, but I have no idea why. Maybe for this reason….? Nah, it’s all good. Maybe for this thing over here….? Meh. God will tell me. Then this video comes out and I kept finding myself thinking ‘I know how to fast 😅 I don’t have to watch that.’ Well, this morning, I bossed my flesh and decided ‘I am watching that because I’m sure God has something for me. He wouldn’t have led me to Braxten’s channel, and had the last few weeks of episodes be so relevant to my life for me to just suddenly lose interest and turn away.’

So, I'm fasting. Right now, for at least three days. Not really sure why but that was the biggest take away is I don’t gotta know why. God knows why and I trust Him fully, don’t I?
