Thumbnail shows what looks like a t-splice. Never talks about t-splices.

I just twist the two ends together and put some duct tape or sometimes electrical tape around them. So what if my lights flicker when I hit a bump

Scotty I'm so glad I found your Channel! I'm a do it yourself woman and I appreciate you giving me some instructions that will help me fix my car this weekend.

Scotty you're the man. Ive been watching and learning from your videos for years now and just recently my Dad found you on YouTube (since he wouldn't listen when I told him) and we both get a lot of important information and entertainment from your videos. You've given me the confidence to do certain things I would've never tried before and you even allow my father to not have such a heart attack when I do attempt things on my own. Recently my tps connector went bad and was wondering how I'm going to wire it in cuz the mechanic wanted $2500 just to replace that and the throttle body !

Video saved me money! I'm no car expert, but I was able to reconnect a broken reverse light cable. Now I don't have to spend a small fortune for a mechanic/electrician to do what I just did myself! Great video, thanks!

the old jettas like that were well made vehicles. The newer ones are rolling plastic piles of junk as they age.

Good grief, not sure why this popped up for me. A 10-year old Scotty vid. Loved it, great entertainment. Obviously this was filmed while you still had control of your hands! Thanks Scotty!

Thank you Scotty Kilmer! You showed the exact connector that I am needing to fix, so now I know the right way to do it. Thanks a million!

I used these connectors when I was installing an aftermarket radio. I somehow prefer the heat-shrinking connector, so it will seal the connection snug and tight, no water goes in. But they are a little more expensive than the normal connector.

@cabdolla yes, for external connections, but this was an ignition wiring sub harness that goes inside the car under the dash.

@CMLovejoy you check it's resistance with an ohm meter. But try to use the same gauge wire, it's there for a reason.

I like the cat cameo in the background during the crimping demonstration.
