To the people who have never wired anything before and are here for a how to. Do not ever wire a black wire and white wire together. He’s showing a technique on a way to wire two wires and that’s it.

Brilliant video. Easy to follow, concise, and short. One of the best I've seen. What is your opinion on the best way to "re-insulated" joints when the joint is used in a harsher environments?

Perfect, thanks for making it so simple!

Heat shrink. "A heat sink is a passive heat exchanger that transfers the heat generated by an electronic or a mechanical device to a fluid medium, often air or a liquid coolant, where it is dissipated away from the device, thereby allowing regulation of the device's temperature. Wikipedia" . Well explained tho.

Nice demo well done, the adding of the heat sink would have finished it off nicely, but great technique nevertheless thank you .

It's not heat sink! It's heat shrink. It shrinks when you heat it. A heat sink is something that takes the heat away. Like a piece of aluminum with fins on it. The heat is absorbed by the aluminum and it spreads out to the fins where air takes it away.

I notice all the videos on connecting wire is always a single isolated wire. when in reality it is 99.9% of the time a cord that has 2 wires running side by side which is a completely different challenge. Unless you strip back like 5 inches of wire this type of connection is difficult because the second wire is in the way.

Worked like a charm, but then found out the whole circuit had been charcoal all along 😂

What if one side is too short to do that?
