Driving in Cbus, to be honest is not that bad. People move if you want to pass in the left lane and are very courtious. The only thing I have noticed that they dont know well, are the new roundabouts in some areas. Some people treat them like 4 way stops, and it totally the contrary. Driving in europe, were everyone accelerates to match the entry of the roundabout, here the slow down and stop, wich can cause accidents

Anybody who lives directly downwind of a Great Lake, especially if it doesn’t freeze over, is gonna have cloudy days.

What about the someone in a wheelchair like myself? What are the pros and cons for us? Is moving there going to provide us with apartments, ability to get into places, around etc.?

Columbus RE taxes are nothing compared to Cleveland suburbs.Youll pay 4k in taxes on a 100k house in Garfield Heights

Intel is not that big of a deal.Look at what happened to Marysville when Honda built their plants. They put a building moratorium out there for years to stop the overgrowth.

You didnt mention Columbus public schools being absolutely one of the worst school systems in Ohio.

Nobody in Los Angeles/Orange county use their turn signals. It drives me crazy. In New York, I’ve gotten a ticket from the police for NOT using my turn signal. Also, concerning the Intel $Billions, Intel has yet to receive 1 penny from the federal government as of July 2023.

I have lived long term in both the suburbs of Columbus as well as in Florida and my vote for the two biggest downsides of C-bus would be #1 taxes and #2 clouds. The other things are fairly trivial and basically background in my opinion. Every place I have ever lived, including Florida, people say "if you don't like the weather here wait 5 minutes."

sports, not important, but the smaller cities of Cleveland and Cincinatti have pro sports. THE Ohio State University!

No worse drivers than Maryland drivers! So no worries on that for me. And one of the pro's for farmland would be access to some pretty fresh foods no?

I don’t know man, Greenville, SC has some of the most horrendous drivers, in the US, and I’d say Miami drivers aren’t great. South Florida homes can easily be 5x the price- or more- then there’s the issue of not being able to get mandatory insurance on homes after our lovely hurricanes and that insane flood down here a couple weeks ago. I wouldn’t think the building codes, or even the permitting would be nearly so expensive/time consuming as in major storm states is it? 🤔🤔

I'm a little confused. Why would a real estate agent (who at the end of the day wants to help people move to metro Columbus) make a 14 min video on all the negative reasons NOT to move to Columbus??? I understand the concept of telling people the truth and not whitewashing things...but spending this amount of time on a video which lists out in detail all these negative traits of Columbus just to me doesn't make a lot of sense. I've lived in Columbus metro for 26 years and I love it after watching this video I'm starting to question myself. lol

Why would a realtor tell people not to move to where he works? Weird.

You forgot to mention lack of good public transportation, Columbus Ohio, absolutely has no subways, No Light Rail, not even a people mover tram or trolley! Only bus! You must have a CAR!!! for any of those wanting to live in Columbus.
Also Columbus has no Amtrak service, it was discontinued since 1979 with the elimination of the national Limited that Amtrak removed due to budget issue
As of now Columbus is the largest city in the United States to not have any type of rail transportation, as they keep talking about it, just nothing but more talk and yak yak yak saying they're going to plan even former governor Kasich had already announced that rail Transportation or passenger rail is not in Columbus Ohio's future

Imagine my surprise when I moved to Columbus and stayed at my friend’s parent’s house in Bexley. Where im from that house would be 10+ mil easy. “How’s Iowa?” …”um, it’s Ohio, and it’s way more fun then Sonoma County, California. BTW, Columbus is the cloudiest city in the US.
