Trench ware fare was treacherous. The Old Idaho Prison has a detailed exhibit about the WW1 trenches. So grateful for all the men and woman who gave up their lives for us to have the freedoms we do today! 🙏

Cool but still, there’s no place that will resemble complete realistic experience in the trenches, it was always wet, muddy, rat infested, bug infested, flooded sometimes, and obviously corpses of fallen soldiers either spread out or in a pile. Not to mention how broken down the defenses were from war.
