Howdy, friends. I've received a number of comments from people smugly pointing out that what is happening here doesn't fit the pedantic gunsmithing definition of "slam fire" because it makes them feel as smart and special as their mommy always told them they were. The problem is that slam fire is the commonly accepted term for what is happening here, and I have yet to hear anyone suggest a good alternative.

Fun fact: on Resident Evil Village VR mode, you can do exactly that with the M1897 you find at the beginning of the game and dear god I felt the spirit of the war crime stick boys in me.
