We should learn to respect that we have now and not take things for granted because there’s people out there who are fighting for us and we’re just sitting here being lazy and not giving up single care to the world.

And thinking they are “scary” or “horrifying” is just flat out rude to the actual people who didn’t even live trying to do this.

Edit: not to mention the fact that if a soldier survives a shot or a deadly explosion of some sort, they HAVE to get surgery like that so they can survive. They don’t have a choice. Saying that they’re scary is like saying “ew” to a kid with a disability.
