Fact - The 'U-shaped- trench was used in WW1 as artillery explosions were less spread out along the trench if they hit directly inside the trench. Same goes for the zig-zag trench layout

Idk the game, but this way of doing trenches is historically good. In WW1, germans have built trenches like that so it would help against explosions

Don’t dig trenches in straight lines, it allows the enemy to shoot in 1 direction and kill everyone, keep it curvy and more random. Just don’t keep the trenches perfect

To those curious, the reason they where w or square like shaped is because it preventing a enemy that entered the trench from being able to shoot down the line.
