Jennifer in all honesty you look so much better at your current weight than you did when you were 10 pounds lower. Your face looks less drawn, so you look a LOT younger. That's the caveat as we age. You look amazing right now-- slender but feminine and glowing-- and your approach seems healthy and sane. Thank you for all the insights you've shared throughout your journey.

I started IF after watching one of your videos on it. In less than two years I’ve lost 28 lbs. I am still considered 6 lbs overweight. I can live with that. I’ve done 16/8 the entire time with change ups for special events. Then I go right back to 16/8 with no worries. Thank you for changing my life so positively!!!

I’m still a little overweight after almost 4 yrs of 16-8 IF, although I’ve lost 60 lbs and am very happy with where I am at the moment. I know I’m not giving up desserts even if it meant losing more! I also began exercising every day. I feel and look better, sleep well, and my mood is better. Late 60’s and I’m in excellent health with lots of energy. Thank you for your inspiring videos, Jennifer.

Thank you Jennifer for modeling how we need to listen to what our bodies are telling us. Our bodies know what it needs for health. Blessings!

Cravings go away especially when you are feeling wonderful. I do 16/8 between 9 and 5. If I’m not hungry after 3 I don’t eat ❤

Hi Jennifer! Thanks for update! I have been fasting for 3 years! I do 20-4 (fast for 20 hrs and eat for 4) PLUS one time a week, I have a full "down day" (where I don't eat at all) and follow it with an "up" day where I have an 8-hour eating window. I have lost and kept off 65-70 pounds. I literally eat whatever I want! My advice: Everyone is different, so just keep tweaking it until you figure out what works for you!

Thank you for the update. I started the fast like a girl regime after your interview with Dr. Mindy, and it destroyed my peace in fasting. I felt like I was on a diet, which I never felt in the 16/8 method. I also gained 10 lbs, and I wasn’t anywhere near my goal.

One of the takeaways I got from the video is the importance of experimenting to figure out what works well for you. My husband retired at the end of 2023. We began having our main meal at noon time and then a light snack around 5pm. I don’t eat again for 14-14.5 hours. This has helped my digestion tremendously. We walk 10-12 miles per week, lift weights and ride bikes which is an important part of our “season of life” plan. I am your height and weigh 128. I try to have quality snacks on hand for my mid-morning lull. Excited for part two to learn from everyone’s questions!

I am in my second year of IF. 16/8 works best for me. i am retired. I lost 14lbs after 4-6 months. Happy with weight loss. I seem to stay at 128lbs. Eat 3 meals a day, healthy food. Walking is the only exercise that I do. The one suggestion that you don't eat after dinner had the most impact for me. I used to snack at night before I started this fast. Now I continue the 16/8 IF as I think it is a good healthy plan. Life sometimes can alter this 16/8 schedule when special occasions rise, but I never worry about it and carry on with the 16/8 whenever possible. Happy!

So proud of you Jennifer. I'm a firm believer that your body knows where it wants to be. Fasting worked in many areas of my life but I lost very, very little weight. I had big dreams for 50 lbs or more. That didn't happen. The main thing it did was realign my relationship with food and made my hunger and satiated cues more sensitive. I have less tendency to over eat and I'm making healthier choices. My rest is better, my skin is clearer and their is an overall sense of wellbeing now. In time when my body is ready to release the excess weight, I believe it will. You look amazing, thank you for sharing as always and congratulations. 💕

I'm 67, female and retired. I have a house and a few acres to maintain so I'm active in the spring and summer months. Since my teens I've learned everything I can about nutrition and dieting and have learned my body quite well in these last 50 years. I started intermittent fasting 2 months ago and have lost 15 lbs. I have a 4 hour eating window between 8am and 12pm. So I fast everyday for 20 hours. I take several vitamin and mineral supplements with water typically after my eating window and about 2 hours after my meals. Every morning I begin my day with coffee and cream and maybe a bagel with jam or scone with clotted cream. Around 11 I will have my meal for the day which may be pasta, a large salad, fish with vegetables as examples. Typically something tasty and healthy. I don't count calories. During my fasting hours I drink lots of water and at least one non-caloric electrolyte drink. I am making this 4 hour eating window my routine for most days. I feel healthy, alert, lighter and have no hunger. I also had a few health concerns that are no longer concerns such as sleepiness after a meal and high blood pressure. I alter my eating window for special occasions with family and friends. My aim is to lose 30-35 lbs. in total as I gained a lot in recent years due to stress. After my weight loss, I will be back to my weight of 10-15 years ago. I am ensuring that I have a gradual weight loss so that my skin can respond without losing it's elasticity.

Thanks to your example, I'm in my third year of IF. After much tweaking, I do a 20/4 to 18/6. Menopause and hypothyroidism resulted a very slow metabolism so I have to go with a shorter eating window. Not only did I lose some weight, my hair grew fuller, nails are stronger, and my skin is brighter. I also have incredible energy. It's life changing. You look amazing Jennifer.

Whatever people chose, I think the important fact is consistency fresh fruits and vegetables, non processed food, chicken, fish, minimal red meat works for me. I have found snacking bad, unless I choose something healthy. Thanks for the update. Lifting weights is a good strength builder.😊

Hello! I’ve been intermittent fasting since around the late ‘90s. I heard Oprah say she didn’t eat after 7 pm and that sounded like a good idea to me because I had digestive issues if I went to bed with a full stomach. I wasn’t overweight. In the mornings it felt right for my body to eat late too. So for years I’ve been eating loosely between 10 am - 6 pm. I think it’s kept me healthy and slim into my late 40s. I love eating like this, it feels 100% natural to me.

Hello Jennifer! I started fasting after watching your videos and, although unfortunately there hasn't been a real impact on my weight, I feel really good and I love fasting. I look forward every year for your update video. Thank you for the motivation :)

I started 16/8 IF in 2022. I weighed 154, my height is 5’0. I cut out sugar, rice, chips, potatoes and beans. Since then I’m down to 132. I walk, and stretch . I feel so much better and I like the way I look in my clothes. During this time I veered toward a ketogenic diet. Over all I feel great.

I started last January and gave myself 1 year to lose 10 lbs. I lost 22lbs in 6 months and maintained the weight to date . I did vary my fasting time. I think I’m ready to lose 7 lbs more so watching your video gave me a boost to start . Thanks

Jennifer, I began IF after watching your 1 year IF video. It has completely changed my life! Like you, I later Fasted Like a Girl and had similar experiences to extended fasts and varying my fasts just like you mentioned. I've happily settled on a consistent eating window from 12 to 5 or 6 since it works best for me and my family.

You’re looking great, glowing from the inside, which is the most important thing. I hope the pneumonia is now well and truly behind you!
