Angry cat pose can help shoulder impingement by positioning the ball and socket of your shoulder in better alignment. This helps to take pressure off the joint and "unimpinge" it, while keeping you safe and out of pain.

The main goal here is to improve function of serratus anterior during upward rotation of the scapula. Especially beneficial if you havw scapular winging / are limited when you go overhead.

Recently getting issues with my left shoulder. Bench press is pretty hard, did this one, one set and it felt like my shoulder is getting placed within the right position. Even the impingement tests were reduced bij 70% pain.

Gave me some hope for my upcoming competition, thank you 🙏🏻

Thanks, David! Very timely for me. I’ve been having real issues with my shoulders lately. Been going to Jack Wong in Houston for it. He’s great and just wanted to say - so are your helpful videos. I’m going to do this to hopefully realign faster. 😅. It’s like you read my mind! 👋

I am fairly certain i have just recently developed SIS. I will do this exercise for 30 reps every 2 hours for 1 month. I will report back with the results after the first week and then again at the end of the month starting on January 6th. Wish me luck 🤞.EDIT: Its feb. 4th, and for two weeks i made time to do this and four other shoulder exercises and my sis pain was gone. I began working out again, and i would do the cat camel exercises 3 times a day with my workouts and my strength has returned. Im not doing my lateral and bilateral raises yet nor am i doing my overhead reps but i can do my push ups again and that is a huge win in my book. I would recommend this exercise and others featured on this channel. 💪😁💪

Is there another way to get results other than angry cat? This is too difficult and painful on my knee that was replaced several years ago and is still swollen.

Wonder if this would help with nerve damage to the arm pit and hands from using crutches for a long time? I have tingling in my hands every time I push on a cane, walker, or even counter. No longer using crutches, but wish I could get rid of this tingling any time I put pressure on my hands.
