After the phenomenal success and award-winning streak of Joker (2019) the sequel was perhaps the most awaited film of this year, and the well-choreographed musical will please some and disappoint others. The slow-burner narrative picks up after the events of the 2019 movie, which land Arthur Fleck in Arkham Asylum, and we get a glimpse of what happens thereafter. The title Folie a Deux roughly translates into Madness of Two in French, and that is precisely what the movie is all about – the artsy insanity of Joker and Harley Quinn! In this video, we will break down the film and elaborate on the ambiguous ending where we will try to answer all the questions that you might have after watching the movie. There will be a few spoilers along the way so you have been warned.

Part 2 completely deconstructed the character that was constructed in the first movie.

So Arthur Fleck wasn’t the real Joker and got killed by the actually joker at the end? Terrible.

He said he didn’t want to make a sequel, they kept pushing him to do it. I hold none of this against Phillips.

Harley: I got parent issues...
Joker: I got parent issues!!!
Harley: Did we just fall in love?
Joker: Yup

Basically, he’s not the joker. He’s the guy who inspires who will be the Joker.

It wasn’t Jacob Lofland. His character was killed off. The prison mate at the end that kills him is Gattlin Griffith

A waning singer suddenly pops up in a movie for no reason, because money is drying up in the music industry and so Lady Gaga fancies herself an actor. So suddenly it has to be a musical. Next...

There's definitely not going to be a 3rd film, and that's not such a bad thing.

‘JOKER’ is not a messenger, It’s a message itself.

More missed opportunity.. dang Hollywood hasn't just lost touch with the audience. Reality went bye bye too.

I’m thinking this next joker is going to be the one who becomes the clown prince of crime and the one who Harley really falls for and is obsessed with. Still a chance for her to get a Job at the asylum since shes is free. She also said she had schooling for psychology. The comics always implied there was always more than one Joker so I think this is a cool take on that. I enjoyed the movie and was a cool twist on the end. This movie really showed that Arthur wasn’t the Joker we all thought hence his confession in the courtroom. He had many chances to bring the masses together and start real chaos but that was never really him. Just a disturbed dude in a broken world who started a movement and a Persona of being The Joker.

I mean, let’s think about it. In Batman Begins, Bruce Wayne turns 30, and the film takes place in 2005, which means Bruce was born in 1975. Joker is set in 1981, meaning Bruce Wayne would be six years old at that time. However, the actor who played young Bruce Wayne in Joker, Dante Pereira-Olson, was 11 at the time of filming, making him too old to be just six.

Additionally, Heath Ledger was five years younger than Christian Bale, but the actor portraying the Joker in Joker 2 appears to be in his early 20s, depending on the film's timeline. It still seems to take place in the '80s, so this creates further inconsistencies.

Overall, the timeline and ages just don’t add up. I know I’m putting way too much thought into this, but it’s the nerd in me! 😂

It could be symbolic and in his head.
That the Joker side has finally fully taken over and killed his original self.
Like "Vader killing Anakin" etc.

Can’t help but think Harley was paid by the feds to get to Arthur to manipulate the trial. Cops allowing her get in his cell (which isn’t allowed), manipulating him to fire his lawyer, then leaving. The Cops were out to get him from the very first film. I left the film feeling terrible for him.

The first film was probably a musical too, but it was just in Arthur's head...., we didn't hear it. I liked the second film showcased that.

NOBODY, NOBODY wanted a musical. That movie was doomed from the start.

The absolute best way to make a great Joker movie is to have a collection of stories that would have us questioning which one is the real Joker. Joker said it best “If I had an origin story, I’d probably prefer multiple choice.”
