Todd Phillips seems to think that because Arthur was a sympathetic loser that he can’t be the clown Prince of crime status of the joker, despite the fact that in one of the most famous joker stories ever told (the killing joke) we see jokers origin as a sympathetic loser turned clown Prince of crime. But nope because Arthur’s sympathetic he can’t be the real joker so the real joker (despite being a copycat) kills him and takes his name
