Tampa Police Chief Resigns After Flashing Badge During Traffic Stop

Tampa police Chief Mary O’Connor resigned following an internal affairs investigation into a traffic stop where the former chief flashed her badge. Tampa Mayor Jane Castor said O’Connor’s behavior was “unacceptable” as public officials should not use their positions for special treatment. WFLA's Jeff Patterson reports.

This only became a story because of the body cam footage. Someone saw it and realized they cant let it slide because if it gets out there will be serious consequences. This was just another “perk” of her job and she had no shame in doing this.

I dated a girl years ago who had a brother in law that was a cop. We went and visited her sister and him a few times. Dude drove like a total a-hole everywhere we went. To dinner, the store, it didn’t matter. 90mph the whole way there. I knew he was completely showing off, at the expense of everyone in the car. People like that ruin it for the good ones.
