Tampa's police chief resigned following an investigation into a traffic stop during which she was heard asking for special treatment in a body cam video. Mary O'Conner and her husband were pulled over for driving an unregistered golf cart on the road. Jeff Pegues has the story.

The mayor who let her resign instead of firing her is the former police chief. There are no cops over 3 years on the job that haven’t done this. She was wrong, but it’s clear they wanted her out beforehand. She was really obvious, and stupid about it.

Everybody in government wants to use titles to get special treatment in one way or another. Politions are the worsed especially when running for office.

She’ll get a new job in two weeks.

We have a sheriff in our county. Who wrecked a city vehicle after drinking and driving. Misreporting time spent on job and abusing his authority. And still refuses to quit. And it's almost impossible to get rid of him for some reason. Respect to those who do the right thing.
