Police chief in golf cart resigns after flashing badge at traffic stop

The Tampa police chief who flashed her badge and asked to be let go from a traffic stop while riding in a golf car has resigned, officials said.

I don't think it should have went that far. But, it shows that she would be willing to break major laws after she told him if he needed anything, ANYTHING, to call her. That is ground for she can bend a few rules. She should have kept her mouth shut, took the ticket and move on. She knew that body cam was rolling.

The police chief should have known better, knowing that the officer had a body cam operating. What did she expect? One would hope she wouldn't even pull this stunt without the body cam.

I would think that the Mayor already knows about the other embarrassing incidents that have not be publicised yet. That's probably why she didn't bother to fight this battle with Ms Ms MaRy. You know Ms MaRy didn't really resign, the Mayor more than likely asked her to leave, in lue of firing her.
