There are literally 100's of videos of obese people who fasted for 30 days and lost 100lbs. The bottom line: they may have a harder time fasting but they still lost the weight. Nothing worth doing is easy...don't be deterred...be determined. ❤

If you're fat you have plenty of reserves to fast for months if you want. Its the best thing you can do for your body if you wanna heal it and drop that fat. It literally heals almost everything.

Fasted for 40 days. I lost 55 lbs. 1 gallon of water, 2 mugs of green tea and suplemented daily. I drank water when I felt hunger pains. Worked out early morning and walked 2 miles per day. Gained 10 lbs when I started reintroduced healthy foods. 4 years later I went back to old habits and I am currently gearing up to do it again. Mind over matter is the key unless your fast is born of fear/necessity. Good luck.

Take away: The younger you start doing 72 hour fasts once in a while... the better off you are.

Wonderful concise presentation! Much needed for those of us who are older and OCD (jump in with both feet). Here, planning and patience are virtues.

Thank you for sharing this information. This is really useful in helping others to understand why sometimes they cannot "crash land" into a fast. 🥰

This is so informative. I don't understand why more information like this isn't out there, and how to reduce your weight not just safely, but with intelligence. I guess the pharma industry just doesn't want us to know. Shameful. So glad I found you here, you've given all of us such important information, based on science. Thank you Dr. Boz!

This video was extremely well done. Very packed with great information in such a short time. I have been experimenting with fasting over the last few months and this perfectly explains why I'm struggling so hard with a three day fast when in the past it wasn't a problem when I was leaner. Now that I am very obese, I'm older, and my system is messed up, I am experiencing exactly what you were talking about with the unhealthy patients whereas before when I was not as unhealthy and younger, I experienced success and euphoria with those type of fasts. So I have literally proven this with my own body over the last two months and I've had a very difficult time trying to lose weight.

My doctor, suspects I suffer from hypothyroidism, but because my insurance is such poor quality, I cannot afford all the doctor visits to get it properly fixed. I am trying to look for ways to fix my hypothyroidism with natural methods, and some sort of fasting, but with hypothyroidism issues it's very difficult to lose weight. I'm going to try these keto methods that are suggested in this video and see if I can get myself fixed. I've read the treatments for various hypothyroid issues, and I'm not keen on going down the medical root of destroying my thyroid, or being on medicine for the rest of my life. I really want to fight hard to see if I can correct my body naturally.

Thanks again for this video. It really explains so much! You've helped me see why these fast attempts are not working and have offered a solution to the problem. Wish me luck on going with this new approach!

Great info!!! I was wondering why I felt awful during a fast, when so many others report feeling wonderful. Now I know.

Thank you a ton for this! You made this extremely informative and precisely and successfully exaplaining the difference in experience of fasting and prolonged fasting depending on the state of the body at the beginning of the fast.

I watch several channels that talk and promote keto and fasting/autophagy, but none have explained this specific very important aspect of keto diet and fasting. This was the video/information I lacked, needed and wanted for years now after I first started hearing about low carb diet, fasting and autophagy.

I have been experimenting a lot with all this, and only now I understand why so many people report different effect of their prolonged fasting, and only now I understand why I until now struggled with fasting, but recently I took much more gradual approach and first started getting my body to healthier level with healther diet gradually decreasing number of meals and increasing fasting times between meal.
I still haven't reached full ideal state of body health and metabolis to where I can comfortably take fasts longer than 72 hours without loosing energy and feeling the need to digest food. But I am more quickly getting to that point. Currently 48 hour fasting windows between each meal doesn't represent any problem for me anymore. I am going to keep gradually trying to increase this fasting interval more and more as long as I can achieve it, for increased benefist of prolonged autophagy.

Thank you a lot for this video! You are a great at explaining and providing quality information! Keep up the great work!

Thank you so much for making this video. It has come at the perfect time my mother, my sister and myself are all doing this together. We are at our 8th week and my sister and I both been trying to explain to my mom fully why she doesn’t want to just starve herself to loose the weight.
By keeping her 20 g of carbs and her protein Around 100.
Anyway, I am hoping she is able to fully absorbed this video

Thanks again for all that you do💞

I just fasted for 34 days water only. Lost 42lbs. Now I've lost 64 in total still need to loos 54 more.😢
Update: went and got gastric sleeve. Only lost 31 in three months. In this last year of trying I lost 83. BUT I still have 30 more to go and even with the gastric sleeve it is sp slow and I'm loosing muscle rapidly. Not happy about that. This has been the toughest road to health. Got a continuous glucose monitor and I really like seeing what food does to my body.

Thank you very much for this doc, I tried fasting and I had great experience but still left with something not "quite there" yet.

I’ve been carnivore for coming up on 3 years. Gradually I’ve been closing my eating window naturally. I was always hungry on waking but now I usually eat between 10am and 4pm . I can see a time when I will be able to do omad or fast but will let my body tell me when it’s ready. I’ve never invested in any meters but do love dr boz’s systematic approach and appreciation of not jumping ahead of the bodies capability 🥰 very useful video, thank you 🙏 xxx
