Fun fact: In real life, Anita Gibbs could be kicked off the committee by judicial review. In other words, Mike could go to court and argue that Gibbs was clearly biased, and the court would order a fair hearing without Anita Gibbs present.

So let me get this straight, she abuses her power to hunt Mike like a bloodhound and then takes advantage of the clearly corrupt system of the character and fitness committee (a member can just appoint his replacement when he leaves, seriously?), but Mike is the bad guy here because of his unethical behavior?

Anita Gibbs is the embodiment of a gatekeeper in the legal profession who ensures it is kept as tight–knit frat. Reminds me how the General Legal Council in Ghana uses schemes and tactics to determine how many are accepted into the bar every year.
