Scotty, I had a 2005 Ford Excursion 6.0 diesel, that the insurance company said was totaled and only offered me $ 11548.00, I refused the offer and hired my own certified appraiser who said it was worth $22500.00, they were forced to hire their own appraiser, who agreed, mind you the accident was not my fault, Never agree with the Insurance company value. Fight them.

My parents have had their 2011 Cruze turbo for 13 years and all we did was regular oil changes, new tires, a battery, and valve cover gasket. 🤷

My brothers Cruze must be the exception that proves the rule. Over 250k all original including the clutch in the manual tranny.

1985 BMW 528e i was reading road and track article said the reverse will go out at 92, 000 miles, 2 days later my reverse went out at 92, 000 miles go figure.

There are Cruze owners with over 200k on them, so it all depends on how well the cars are taken care of. And the majority of them do have the turbos. Some newer employees of Advance Auto Parts did not know they made them without the turbo until they went to look the car up in the computers. And if you look up the transmission for the Cruzes, they are not made by GM. They are a Ford / GM cooperative build and Ford makes the transmissions.

I would think that the worst used car to buy would be something like a Hellcat Charger because you KNOW it's had the guts driven out of it.

I have a 2014 impala 3.6 i bought used with 10k. Now have 89k. So far only had a few minor issues with cam sensors. 24mpg combined, 26- 30 mpg highway with 305 hp. No turbo required
